In 1902, the history of our museum began with the passionate story of eight men who had dreams and romance.
After much struggle, only one of the eight people found a hot spring and started an inn.
He was the first owner of this museum.
120 years have passed since then, and our hotel continues to protect the hot springs.
Currently, there are 18 hot spring sources in total, and our hotel is a hot spring that blends 9 of them.
You can enjoy the 100% natural hot springs that flow directly from the source whenever you like, without any addition of water or heating.

The open-air bath with a view of the Joshinetsu mountains is located on the 5th floor. We have installed a fence so no one can see from outside. There is an indoor bath attached to the open-air bath with a view. If the outside temperature is cold, please use this bath.

It depends on the height of the 5th floor, the wind of the Chikuma River and the outside temperature. It may be lukewarm during winter. Also, in case of heavy snow, the tour may be suspended.
【Indoor bath】… Free flowing
However, some hot springs may be heated for a certain amount of time only during the midwinter period.

- The observation bath on the 5th floor is open for men and women depending on the time of day. (*Replacement work will be carried out between 21:00 and 22:00.)
